Northern California Road Trip!

We are so lucky to have the chance to take a trip up North to a few cities that are close to our hearts. Sarah was getting married May 9th so we decided to take the trip up to celebrate with her! All the festivities were in Santa Rosa area. Jeff , Brian and myself thought it would be fun to stay in San Francisco to keep things exciting! Not to mention I had a few wedding items to take care of while we were there. We left early Friday morning and arrived at around noon! We walked around the city to kill some time before we could check into our hotel. Which I surprisingly LOVED! It was the Prescott Hotel on Post only 2 blocks from Union Square.

1st wedding item on the agenda for me was my make-up and hair trial for the wedding. I was a little nervious since it was a big commitment to trust someone with your face and look on your wedding day, but I choose correctly! Lavish salon in San Francisco was a perfect match! She did such a lovely job I can't wait for everyone to see how it will turn out on the big day! Next we got ready to head out to Cattlemens in Petaluma for a lovely Rhearsal Dinner!

Our Lovely Hotel!

Day 2 was a busy one.... First we wanted to get up pretty early and get some breakfast at one our our favorite restaurants.... but much to our surprise they didn't open until 11:30 :( so we decided to walk down to the Embarcadero Pier 30 and enjoy the gorgeous weather and grab a snack so we still would be hungry for Fog City Diner when they opened later. So next we were off to our meeting with the florist.... it was right down the street from Fog City Diner, everything went smoothly and we again were really excited with our choice of vendors, I think she will be able to portray our style amazingly. So after were were done there we drove back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding that was at 3pm, so that we would have time to grab some lunch at Fog City Diner before we headed out. It worked out perfectly, food was even better than I imagined we chowed down then headed out to Petaluma again.....

The wedding took place in the smallest cutest oldest Church I have ever seen! I never knew Petaluma was such a quaint town.

Here are some pics from the wedding...

Jeff and I stepped away and took a walk around the neighborhood to enjoy some of the old homes. Living in South Pasadena has given me a new appreciation for homes built in the early 1900's. This one was my favorite from the walk! The pictures do not do i justice... it is HUGE!

Day 3 .... Happy Mothers Day! and Napa here we come! we thought yesterday was a full day, but turns out Day 3 was the busiest. We started our day bright and early by driving out to Napa for brunch with the family for Mothers Day! Luckily we didn't have to wait too long to be seated and good ole' Gillwoods hit the spot.

The next stop was a drive up highway29 to check out some Rehearsal Dinner spotts ....
We made a quick stop at Sullivan Vineyards to check out our ceremony site again! It was amazingly gorgeous!

This is where we will say "I Do..."

We ended up also swining by Go Fish to get a better look at the reception site... Which was perfect.. .then we went to Pizzeria Travigne... which is where I think we will probably end up doing the rehearsal dinner. They have an adorable patio that is just what were were thinking! Finally we spent some time walking around Main Street! Oh it brought back so many memories... we even stopped into my engagement rings first home Patina.... and found some wedding bands that match perfectly... now I just need to be patient :) We also had some food at Market and visited with friends before we drove back to reality! But what a nice end to a fun filled weekend! :)

Engagement Photos LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!

Photography Disaster Soved

http://www.braedonphotography.com/ To the rescue!!!

We have decided to take a little bit of the stress away by booking this lovely photographer locally! Our new date is March 29th! We can't wait! Also we are thinking of turning it into 2 seperate photo shoots! So we can capture 2 different styles! Can't wait to share these with everyone!

Rain Rain Go AWAY!

This is a funny story! ...... so Jeff and I have been all excited to go get engagement pictures up in Napa... okay maybe that an exageration.... I have been all excited to get picture taken..... I have been watching the weather and keeping my fingers crossed for sunshine all week! Today I checked the weather and it said RAIN~ Noooooooo!! I was sooo bummed, I thought, hmmm should we move it??? Should we cancel??? We have the outfits the plans and eveything...... Well at 11:00am this morning I said, forget it!! We are going to cancel everything!!! Its not worth ruining the pictures, after all we have to drive up there, then I was getting hair/makeup done in SF etc..... Whew! I was pretty bummed at first, but finally was able to wrap my mind around it! Only to check the weather at 4pm and guess what??? Rain was GONE! Oh my gosh! I could kill weather.com!!!!

We ended up keeping it canceled, but it was a pretty funny trick to play on us! I am hoping now to get my FAVORITE photographer to do our pics locally! Ps. the main reason I wanted to go up to Napa anyways was for the Mustard flowers and there season is coming to an end really sooon! Not to mention my Saturday Classes start up Next weekend!

Anyways .... I will update when I finally come up with Plan "B" no matter what they will be amazing! :)

New York New York

I can't tell you how much fun I had on my adventures in New York! I saw soo much in the few days I was there... even by myself....

Day 1: I spent some time sleeping since I took the red eye flight out..... Cynthia's apartment was super fun, and close to everything! You can see the eiffel tower from her apartment :)

Where I slept!

The View!

I got familiar with the area and where I could go and found myself walking walking walking.... ending up in the rockefeller center! check out this fun iceskating rink!

Later that night when Cynthia got off work she took me down to Little Italy where I got to experience the oldest Pizza place in the US. Lombardi's Pizza

We took the subway down .... hehehe

Look how cute little Italy is..

Day 2:

Now this was a HUGE Day! I started my day out with taking a stroll in Cental park on a horse drawn carriage :)

It was sooooo COLD! My driver Brendan, from Ireland!!

Next stop.... TIME SQUARE!!! Oh I forgot to mention I took the Subway all by my self up to Central Park (kind of a big deal)

One issue I run into when traveling by myself is ..... how do I get a picture of me in all these places.... my favorite tactic is..... find someone in a group.... the offer to take their picture, after that... then ask politely ooooh can u take mine tooo..... WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

The sky was sooo gorgeous as u can see from all these fun pics!

By this time I was pretty exhausted.... I walked all the way here from central park... I stopped and got some soup then started walking back to warmth (the apartment)

On my way I stumbled upon this iceskating rink..... hmmm I had already told myself I REALLY REALLY wanted to go...... but iceskating alone, how sad is that...... Welp I sucked it up and DID IT~ I was sure glad I did.... it was a BLAST!!! I even managed to get someone to take my pic!

Okay I thought I was tired after time square I was really really tired by now!! I headed home for a nap then..... Dinner and a movie!

Day 3: By now My friend Cynthia was off work so we had the whole day for fun! We started off with breakfast delivered! Gosh I love that part about NYC.... and we already had plans to go out for someones B-day that evening... we also thought we could catch a show and do some shopping.... we managed to do all of the above and it made for a memorable last day in the city.... tomorrow we had to head off to Virginia for training.... to top it all off we got snow!!

First stop shopping!!!

Then some Snow!!

And a show!

Later that night we went out to a club called Johnny Utah's but apparently there was a rodeo in NYC for some odd reason and we were not able to get in... second best thing was Hawaiian Tropics by Time Square.... it was pretty hilarious..... after we closed that place down we went to a rooftop club an danced the night away! :) Perfect way to end an amazing Trip!
